World’s Strangest Restaurants

You couldn’t help wondering how in hell anybody can eat at Dinner In The Sky in Belgium, just one of the “Most Unusual Restaurants in the World” listed by Forbes. Where hungry folks are strapped to their seats as they try their best to push food down their throats and not think about the horrible death awaiting them should a harness snaps. You can only hope the waiters are experts at the Heimlich Maneuver whenever diners choke on their food upon seeing how the china that rolled off the table shattered in a gazillion pieces hundreds of feet below them.

And not only the restaurants, but the chefs who make the food are world-class strange persons, if not, condescending visionaries way ahead of their time. Take Homaru Cantu, who uses liquid nitrogen to add some “melting cheese” illusion and Class IV laser to cook most of his culinary creations — all in the pursuit of creating food that people “have to see to believe.”
