There’s a goldfish at the Royal Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh that was apparently so ugly it looked like Jocelyn Wildenstein commissioned it from a mad scientist for the express purpose of using the fish to add a nice finishing touch to her face.

So the Museum’s bosses decided that, although the fish was healthy, it would undergo surgery to give back the Irish kids their good night’s sleep.

The Metro reports a happy ending:

“The operation seems to have been a resounding success, unless you count the fact that they also had to remove one of the fishes eyes along with the lump. Which could probably also be described as ‘unsightly’.The operation was paid for out of the money visitors would throw into the fish pond.”
