Today’s hamster story involves… a missing hamster.

It took a “rogue” hamster to ground an Austrian Airlines jet en route from Palma de Mallorca in Spain to Graz in Austria.

The hamster owner, some naughty dude whose grand idea of “James Bond” is “smuggle live hamster through airport security and tell all friends over pinacolada,” dismally failed in his otherwise blog-worthy feat after the hamster itself trumped him by pulling off its own disappearance act.

The hamster is still missing, forcing the airline company to ground the plane and wait till the small animal, which would have been considered cute in other less-tense situations, decides to show up and surrender.
