The unspeakable word is “porn.” And the unspeakable website that’s on everyone’s lips these days is Pornotube. It’s like Youtube, only without its pants on.

It’s the perennial promise of the Internet: free porn, in its simplest form. It’s aggregated and organized, using a crude, flickr-like tagging system that doesn’t work perfectly but gets the job done. Like big butts and you cannot lie? I don’t want to know—just type it into the search field and you’ll get what you’re looking for.

Twenty-four results per page (and 52-pages worth if you really do type in “big butt.”), in the form of pictures and videos, ranging from two seconds to ten minutes, from a lonely lass in Newcastle to your favorite porn star.

The crazy thing is, PornoTube may be the most important site on the Internet at this moment. It’s trite and boring to say that the adult entertainment industry (to use the daylight moniker) is a major driving force behind technology, but PornoTube may represent the first time adult entertainment has actually had to catch up.
