European scientists have developed a matchboxed-sized “spy” robot to “infiltrate” a pack of cockroaches, suck up to their boss, screw the mistress, and talk dirty to influence the gang.

The robot smells and acts just like a roach; it even knows all the street (or crevice) slangs. The scientists’ clever plan is to fool the cockroaches into accepting the robot as one of their own, then instruct the robot to persuade the group to do silly things, like jumping down a burning oven or sitting on the couch to watch MTV. They may even start blogging.
