Inside Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo

The latest furry animal out of Sir Richard Branson’s hat comes in the form of a generous glimpse of the interiors of SpaceShipTwo. If you don’t mind the $200,000 ticket price to some suborbital trippin’, then you’re one of Branson’s target market. Brace up for breathtaking window views and well-appointed journey to space. Just remember, folks: puking in zero gravity can be cool with the right kind of lunch.

Virgin Galactic’s spaceliners will be specially-outfitted SpaceShipTwo vehicles built by Mojave, California-based Scaled Composites and veteran aerospace designer Burt Rutan. The new spacecraft, designed specifically for space tourism, will be three times the size of Rutan’s SpaceShipOne, which won the $10 million Ansari X Prize for privately-developed piloted spacecraft capable of reaching suborbital space twice in two weeks.
