Google Desktop: Beyond Beta

The other day, Google Desktop finally emerged from beta mode, and gleaming in the right places. I’ve been playing with it since yesterday, and I think the whole thing feels easier than ever in terms of usage: in adding or removing gadgets, adjusting some of the options, or just “hiding” features when you don’t feel like it.

It’s now available in 26 languages (no Tagalog, yet), which means it’s pretty handy when you’re one of those strange people who occasionally speak in tongues. Like the Pope.
