Bending Light: The Tech of Invisibility
Metamaterials, which make invisibility possible, are the holy grail of all naughty boys who dream incessantly of slipping into the bathroom of the hot girl next door. And physicist Dr Ulf Leonhardt says the technology is achievable in the near future.
The key to become invisible is developing a transparent material that bends light around an object behind it—which is something that advances in nanotechnology will achieve in the next few years.
“There will be advances on both the technological and theoretical sides which will make invisibility happen in the not too distant future. This is not completely beyond the range of present technology and theoretical ideas,” Leonhardt said.
That’s juicy. The moment Amazon begins selling these invisibility cloaks, I’ll head straight to Malacanang to watch and secretly snap pictures of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo naked. I’m pretty sure I can sell those steaming hot photos to the leftists, wholesale—nothing’s more arousing than the sight of bald, naked, absolute power.
