Apple Opens a Bagful of New More-of-the-Same-Old Goodies

Steve Jobs’s and Apple’s show in San Francisco was all about wowing the cash-ready public with sleeker, more colorful…same old things.

Among other stuff you might not care about:

  • There’s a new, better-looking version of ITunes (7.0).
  • The ITunes video store will now act like it is actually a video store, where Apple attempts to rob you with $14.99 per movie download. But what the heck, we love Apple and we absolutely dislike freeloading and all those wonderfully free movies available on torrent. Don’t we? Don’t we?
  • The iPod Nano further slides into gadget anorexia that they begin to remind you of sad cases like Allegra Versace and Victoria Beckham… And oh! There’s colors galore!
  • There’s a $50 price cut on the 30-GB video iPod. So that you can buy 10 of them and not care about the price.
  • Steve Jobs sort of announcing a new-fangled device capable of connecting to a TV and PC so that you can play ITunes on the TV set.
