Sergei Torop: Siberia’s Jesus
Sergei Torop is a former Soviet soldier and Siberian traffic cop, and these days he lives out her life as “The Jesus” — the de facto god of a remote village in the Siberian forest.
Torop says he realized his divine nature when he was 29, when “something woke up inside of me.” He says God sent him to earth because hatred and war and environmental degradation had become so rampant. “This is the first time I have been needed in 2,000 years. This is a critical point. Only when mankind becomes one family on earth will the doors to the universe become open to them,” he says.
One of Torop’s holy priests giving some lovin’ on The Jesus’ graven image. The Jesus apparently loves pink flowers.
