“Mysterious” Chinese Autograph Book Needs Your Care And Attention

“In December of 2005 this autograph book was found at a used knicknack store in Hong Kong’s central district and purchased for 380 Hong Kong dollars. The identity of the book’s original owner is a mystery. The stories the book reveals are hidden in plain sight. Aside from a few quotations in English, the bulk of the entries are in Chinese. Tiny pictures of men dot the pages of the book.”

And so begins Hillel Cooperman’s Words of a Man’s Mouth online quest to tease out the “truths” surrounding this mysterious autograph book from the farthest reaches of the Internets. If you believe you can “translate” the Chinese calligraphy on some of the book’s pages and can contribute more to the increasingly cloying quote-fest, feel free to do so. The first one who finds evidence the book’s unknown author was in fact the pre-Kato Bruce Lee gets a big, round lollipop.
