Robots Start “Wiping Out” Humans In A Japanese Hospital
Filed under: Robotics
Human employees are probably giving one another worried glances at Fukushima’s Aizu Central Hospital, which has two new employees: a receptionist and a hospital guide, both robots.
The first is the job of receptionist, which goes to the blue robot. The blue robot is there to ask you where you are going, and to help you out by displaying a little map of the hospital on its chest. The other job is for the green robot, which is to guide you to your destination. “Off for an X-ray Mrs. Thompson? Follow me”. The green robot can also help carry your bag for you. “Just stick your bag on my arm, I promise I won’t steal it”.
But as these robots are not yet as clever as even the most insipid office worker, expect them to sustain strange parts failure whenever they seem to stray far into the labor union’s den.
