i-SOBOT Wins Japan’s “Robot of the Year 2008″ Award

Tomy Takara’s i-SOBOT, the world’s smallest humanoid aimed at a mass market, has won Japan’s “Robot of the Year 2008″ award. Why, because it can “walk, talk, dance, do the splits, play air guitar, carry stuff around and much more” (see here). You can even control it via wireless remote control. Excited already? You can buy one for less than $100. Or better, buy an entire army!
