Household Robots Begin Swarming Korea

A thousand “robots for the people” will be distributed to selected families in Korea for a two-month trial service. The robots will provide its human owners services such as news, home-monitoring, and weather forecasts; some can even read stories or teach children how to speak in English. It’s pricey at 2 million Korean won (US$1=W958), but having a willing robot around after a bad day at the office may prove priceless in those moments you want to kick something so hard, but the pitbull just won’t agree to not bite back.
