Nearly 50 years ago, Burt proposed to Linda, but Linda rejected him and became engaged to another man. Burt hired a thug to throw lye in her face, which blinded Linda. A jury convicted Burt and sent him to jail for 14 years. When he got out, he proposed to Linda again. Linda accepted.
