It’s always an emotional sight when members of two different species mingle in innocent play, as seen here with Sumatran tiger twins Dema and Manis cuddling with baby orangutans Nia and Irma. But if there’s anything we know about animal behavior, it’s either the monkeys are playing to test if these cats’ butts can be safely violated, or the tigers are nibbling on those monkey body parts to understand why they feel real good when the monkeys scream in mock pain. When they grow up in the coming months, they’ll see the truth in these things. But for the meantime, it’s super gay time, as a seasoned old lioness somewhere who must be reading this paw-strokes her chin, mutters “These monkeys, they’re just… They’re just begging to be killed,” and shakes her head to the heartrending strains of Nino Rota’s The Godfather muzak.
