I didn’t expect there’s still some fight left in Britney Spears. This is the cover of the August 2006 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, copies of which have already been sprouting all over the web. After all the not-so-good brushes with the paparazzi in the past many months, you’d think she’s already looking for a cave where she could safely, obscurely spend the rest of her life. But apparently, the world’s not over with her, yet.

Ashlee Simpson, on the other hand, who happens to be a girl I’d love to see naked, has turned down a hefty offer from Mr. Hefty himself, Hugh Hefner. Mr. Huge, err, Hugh, on behalf of his magazine, dangled something like $4 million for Ashley to take her clothes off.

The girl turned it down–and broke my heart.
