YNIS (yournameintospace.org) is the kind of wacky idea that most often starts with the groundbreaking words, “What if we vandalize that satellite over there?”

It offers people a chance to have their logos, names, signature, photograph, or a stylized charcoal rendition of your own girlfriend’s boobs, on any chosen surface area of the unmanned research spacecraft that will be launched in 2010. The going rates are shown in the image above, accurately differing according to location. And if the spacecraft is successfully launched and no love-crazed, diaper-wearing astronaut thwarts it, the kind folks of this organization will even give you back as souvenir the actual piece of spacecraft hardware that carried your image into orbit.
