Ann Summers’ iGasm Pisses Off Apple

Popular British high-street sex shop Ann Summers seems to have gotten the fierce goat of Apple, as reported by News of the World, that go-to place for “heartbreakingly accurate” journalistic reliability. As we remember, Apple basically gets angry with anyone dragging its iPod’s beautiful name into the cesspool happily occupied by sleazy sex toys, as it once did with early similar “dildo vibrating to the tune of Milli Vannili” ideas like the gPod or the OhMiBod — products we’ve stopped hearing about.
This time, however, Apple’s annoyed specifically over iGasm’s advertisements.
The neon-pink posters depict an underwear-clad female silhouette holding an oval white device with two cables - one connected to a pair of white headphones, the other heading down toward the female’s knickers.
The sales pitch urges music fans to: “Go at it hard and fast with a pounding drum ‘n’ bass track or chill with an ambient classic.”
Apple is claiming the ad to be an abuse of the silhouette-based images it uses in its own advertising.
Apple’s demands seem doable — why use the goddamn familiar silhouette when you can easily use currently unemployed former Page Three beauties?

Whatever happened to OhMiBod?
