* Microsoft Office is a wondeful suite of software so many people are willing to die for, that’s why everybody wants to make its life much more interesting. Google, for instance, has released a delightful ode to all things bright, beautiful, and not bloated with its Office-esque Google Apps for Your Domain. The whole thing, however, didn’t impress somebody like Om Malik.
* Like a kid furiously jerking off while the parents are away, Google flies from one preoccupation to another, the latest of which is this fling with eBay, leading some to pop the question: What’s under Google’s hood?
* Far from the “beautiful people” crowd, Microsoft hangs out with men in ponchos to launch a Bolivian version of Windows. Where “Save” is “Waqaychay” in Quechua. The locals react to the Blue Screen of Death with a rain dance for some angry Incan god.
* MySpace, dizzy with its cash, decides to kill many trees with its new MySpace magazine. Yep, that’s actually made of paper.
* Japan opens the world’s first robot museum, with a shop selling very expensive robots called “Robot Mirai Department store,” in Nagoya, Japan. The otakus are just so happy they actually have tears in their eyes.
