The 1970s Idea Of The Future: Orson Welles’ Rendition Of Alvin Toffler’s ‘Future Shock’

Orson Welles narrates this little-known 1972 documentary, Future Shock, apparently based on Alvin Toffler’s book. But while Toffler correctly predicted things like “virtual worlds, temp jobs, and Prozac,” what the documentary fleshes out are stuff that seemed cool and sexy in the 1970s. But no matter, you’ll be glued as this future-asploitation takes you to a visual feast of 1970s techno-industrial kitsch and how they were so silly back then.
