While everyone’s still reeling over Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns, here’s Bollywood’s Krrish, where superman makes you hopeful for an occasional song and dance. Why not? It has all the usual nutty ingredients: a megalomaniac somebody, Daddy issues, a distracting bombshell (Indian women are hot!), a self-absorbed superhero, and lots of awkward walking on air.

Oh, soapy cliches. But who cares if there’s Priyanka Chopra to cheer you up?
