Max Barry’s Novel’s Plot Uncannily Resembles PS3 Crime Spree

Max Barry’s book, Jennifer Government, is where you find Nike scheming to shoot the first ten buyers of a new shoe to hype up its launch.

In the real, non-Max Barry world, you find people shooting other people at Sony PS3’s launch, and others stealing them.

Even Barry is wondering why (okay, perhaps not without a glimmer of self-interest to boost up the sales of his own book). But at the end of the day, all else is shit.
