Back in 1997, we never thought the “forever” in Duke Nukem Forever wasn’t just part of the title, but also would become a vital component of ordinary, everyday language, as in, “Hey, girl, are you going to sit Duke Nukem forever on that friggin’ toilet?” Or “Are you gonna cum? You’re taking Duke Nukem forever already!” Or “Elliot, finish the goddamn cereal! We don’t have Duke Nukem forever!”

So when this new game teaser (above) came out recently, it’s best to look back on the things that happened throughout the development of the game’s non-development.
