The ThankGodI website is one of the most hilarious scams out there. It’s asking for story submissions, but before you could darken their doorstep, you have to rifle through your purse and hand them at least $300 to register.

The concept is supposedly “triumph over adversity”: be thankful for every piece of crap you’ve had in your life, write it into a good story, then the duo at ThankGodI–two fine, God-loving, perpetually grateful individuals, I’m sure–will include your sob story in one of a series of 127 books.

♥ Each book will contain 10 - 20 LIFE STORIES stories that are approximately 3 - 5 pages each.

♥ That is a total of up to 1500 people that will be sharing their stories in this project!

♥ These books are based around becoming thankful and will be marketed all around the world by means such as Radio, Internet, Talk Shows, Magazines, and Book Signings etc.

What a spin. Give them the cash, and I’m sure the first entry in their first book would be: “Thank God for a fifillion of stupid people.”

But I think just for kicks, I’m sending them my piece called, “Thank God I singed my uncle’s balls.” Let’s see what happens.
