A group of fashionable young Dutch girls in the city of Enschede has found the new “in” thing: an SMS game called “Who Wants to Die?”

The game is fairly simple: egg one another via SMS until one cracks.

The game is the product of the sheer creativity of a group of teenage Dutch girls who one day realized that europop was not so hot after all, and maybe they should all hark back to that old, romantic time when classic tearjerkers like Goethe’s The Sorrows of Young Werther inspired many a youth to leave this sick, sad world as “romantic” as possible. Only in this modern version, the Internet and mobile communication have replaced the “romantic novel and the lovelorn letter.”

So far, one girl is dead. Winners: none.
