Enron Soap: The Plot Thickens

I “fearlessly” declared in a post last week (see “Kenneth Lay Escapes“) that I don’t think Ken really died. I bet right at this very moment, the dude’s snorkelling somewhere in the Pacific, idly stabbing with a straw the succulent, sweet flesh of a young coconut, gazing dreamily at the lithe, graceful bodies of teenage girls from the Third World.

I wonder if Superman Returns‘ Lex Luthor has anything to do with this theory, but I know Austin Powers‘ Dr. Evil is a master of such stunts, and if anything is known about Enron, it’s that its top honchos are quite handy with games of illusion and misdirection.

And just like a Robert Ludlum thriller, there’s another dead body related to the Enron case. Neil Coulbeck, employee of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), was apparently found dead in a park in north-east London, with the police treating the death as “unexplained.”

Three employees of Natwest, an RBS subsidiary, are being extradited to the USA to face fraud charges related to dealings with Enron, and Coulbeck, an RBS employee, was to serve as a witness. But now, for some reason he will no longer be able to.

Cool.

Here’s another tongue-in-cheek prediction: maybe in the next couple of weeks, something related to Enron will sort of “explode.”
