Controversial “Hooked” Anti-smoking Ads Get The Goat Of Smokers Who Don’t Really See Themselves That Way
Filed under: Bullshit Humans Enjoy

The British Government’s “Hooked” anti-smoking campaign has been receiving complaints from many people because it is allegedly “offensive and distressing.”
“Hooked” featured men and women with fish hooks through their mouths, with the copy: “The average smoker needs over five thousand cigarettes a year. Get unhooked.”
We know that what smokers want were mild and pleasant anti-smoking ad campaigns featuring people trotting on fluffy clouds or rolling on styrofoam peanuts, and not this grisly stuff, so maybe the British Government should give it to them.
A video specimen of the ad, courtesy of the youtubes, is provided below and just a click away. How convenient!
