Chinese manufacturers have become so efficient in copying original Japanese and Korean products that by the time the legit products arrive in China, they are seen by Chinese buyers as the fake ones.

Chinese electronic pirates have been very busy, for instance, in tinkering with LG’s chocolate phone:

When LG Electronics released its Chocolate phone in the Chinese market in May, copies had already been available for some time.

The Korean-made phone was launched on home ground in November last year.

But the company took a few more months to develop another version to meet the needs of the Chinese market.

In the meantime, a Chinese company seized the opportunity to launch a fake Chocolate phone there first.

An LG Electronics staff member said: ‘The Chinese people think it’s LG Electronics that manufactures the fakes.

If China is doing this little practice in manufacturing equipment for its own “space program,” I wonder how many taikonauts would end up as carbonized debris in sub-orbital space.
